DOG DRIVES OWNER'S CAR INTO SWIMMING POOL AFTER JUMPING ON ACCELERATOR PEDAL (PHOTOS)

A dog drove its owner's truck into a swimming pool after jumping on the accelerator pedal during a journey to the shops.
Caroline, a black labrador, sent the vehicle hurtling into the water after getting a
fright, according to its owners Michael and Ruth Smith.
Mr Smith said Caroline had been sitting in the back during the ride to the shops, but got spooked, causing her to leap into the front footwell.

"When she gets scared, she’ll go down on the floorboard of the truck," Mr. Smith told WRAL.
Unfortunately she accidentally pressed down on the accelerator of the Dodge Ram, sending it hurtling out of control.
Mrs Smith, who was driving, said Mr Smith tried to pull the 7st dog off the pedal but couldn't do it in time - with the vehicle smashing through a fence and into the water.

"We were probably going 50 to 55 miles per hour," he said.
“We hit the water and I’m going 'where in the name of God is this water coming from.'”
The pool's owner, John McNamara reportedly said his wife didn't believe him when he told her how the truck ended up in their pool.
Luckily neither Mr and Mrs Smith were injured in the accident and say they are not blaming Caroline for the mishap.
